A shipping house built on water, weather and word
We are the people a ship calls when the berth is late, the manifest is wrong and the ice is early.
DRX began in 1998 in two rooms on the bank of the Daugava, with one telephone and one chartered coaster. Twenty-seven years later we still answer that telephone at three in the morning — the number has simply grown longer, and the vessels much larger.
Today we handle port agency, chartering, forwarding, customs and marine survey for owners, operators and traders across the Baltic. We are small enough to know every captain by name, and old enough to have seen every kind of weather.

02 — History
Twenty-seven years, one tide at a time
1998
First light on the Daugava
DRX is founded in Riga with two rooms, one telephone and a single chartered coaster running timber to the North Sea.
2004
Europe opens
Latvia joins the European Union. DRX signs its first liner agency contract and opens a desk in Ventspils.
2011
The chartering desk
Our first Panamax fixture out of the Freeport of Riga. A dedicated chartering department follows within the year.
2016
Papers and promises
The customs and forwarding division launches; DRX is certified to ISO 9001 and joins FIATA.
2020
The long winter
Crew changes stop being routine. DRX repatriates more than 1 200 seafarers through Riga in eleven months.
2024
The digital watch
Real-time ETA tracking and paperless documentation go live across every agency desk.
2026
Sixty-three and counting
Four offices, sixty-three ports, one standard. The telephone still gets answered at three in the morning.

Chartering
Dry bulk and breakbulk, voyage and time charters. We fix the vessel and the freight rate, then we stay for the laytime.
Freight Forwarding
FCL, LCL, project cargo and out-of-gauge. Door to door, with one tracking number and one person who knows the file.
Customs & Compliance
Import and export declarations, bonded warehousing, excise and EU formalities — checked twice, filed once.
Warehousing
12 000 m² of covered storage inside the Riga Freeport, with rail siding, crane capacity and 24-hour security.
Marine Survey & Claims
Draft surveys, damage inspection, P&I support and statement-of-facts reconciliation by people who have stood on deck.
